Q: How much do sessions cost?

A: We charge a flat fee of £50 per hour during our normal working hours. This means that a half hour individual session will cost £25. Venues further than 30 miles from Exeter will incur a small fuel surcharge. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am too 5.00pm. Any sessions outside of these times are charged at £60 per hour.

Q: Where do you run sessions?

A: As stated above, we operate in a 30 mile radius of Exeter. If you require our services further afield please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q: So is this Music Therapy?

A: In a word, no. Music Therapists use music as a means of treating someone to obtain a specific therapeutic outcome, and are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). We are not registered with the HPC and our training is in music rather than in the healthcare professions. What we offer is more like a personal trainer in a gym, as opposed to a physiotherapist working in the same setting. Our services aren’t an alternative to Music Therapy, however it is well documented that music has many beneficial and therapeutic effects. Many of our clients have benefited greatly from both group and individual sessions.

Q: Do you teach instruments?

A: Paul has worked as a guitar, ukulele and music technology teacher and Claire has taught  voice and singing. We are happy to teach these instruments (as well as percussion) to anyone regardless of need. Paul currently is teaching a lady in a residential home how to play guitar and there are strategies we can use to teach instruments to people with learning and physical disabilities.

Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?

A: We require 24 hours notice of cancellation otherwise we will have to charge the full rate. Obviously if for any reason we can’t attend you will not be charged.

Q: Do you have any availability at the moment?

A: All of our clients have regular weekly or monthly sessions. We have limited spaces available, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Q: Do you offer any other services?

A: Claire and Paul are available for parties, weddings and private functions, performing a range of popular, jazz and folk music styles. We have also run the occasional session in old people’s residential homes in the past.
